This article reviews the specific requirements set down by the NYS Commission of Education as well a review of the Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1990 (OBRA 1990).

Continuing Education: Controlled Substances

This is the third in a series of six self-study continuing education articles that will appear in Pharmacy Law in 1998. The information that is required on controlled substance oral orders as well as the requirements for follow up prescriptions is included in the article. Regulations concerning the storage and disposal of controlled substances are addressed.
