Sterilization of Aqueous-Based Inhalation Solutions

Recently, the Food and Drug Administration published a final rule, to take effect May 27, 2002, that regulates the sterility of aqueous-based drug products for oral inhalation. Pharmacists who compound such medications will be subject to the provisions of this final rule once it becomes effective.

Robinson-Patman Act and Pharmacy Practice

The fourth in a series of continuing education articles, reviews the impact of antitrust law on pharmacy practice, discusses the Robinson-Patman Act and the Nonprofit Institutions Acts, and defines the concept of own use under these provisions. It also discusses the continuing relevance of these laws.
